Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Moyne Road Accident
Garda have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident at Moyneard, Moyne, Co Tipperary on Tuesday 12 January.
A 39-year-old female pedestrian died after being struck by a van on the Moynead Cross to Shanballyduff Cross Road at about 16:10.
It is understood the driver of the van, a 55-year-old man, was uninjured.
The road was closed for a number of hours following the accident to allow for a forensic examination of the scene.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Thurles Garda Station 0504 25100 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident in Castlebar on Thursday. An 18-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car at about 17:00 on the Castlebar to Claremorris Road. She was taken to Mayo General Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 23:30.
