Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a fatal road traffic accident in County Waterford on Wednesday, 09 September.
A man in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorcycle hit a wall on the R448, near Waterford City, at about 17:15.
He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford where he was pronounced dead.
The scene was preserved on Wednesday night and a forensic collision investigation was launched on Thursday morning.

Garda have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident in Ballina, Co Mayo. A 70-year-old woman was walking on Emmet Street at 21:15 on Thursday night when she was hit by a car. She was taken to Mayo General Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. She was later then returned to Castlebar.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic in Castlebellingham, Co Louth on Sunday. A man in his 40s died following a three car collision on the M1 northbound, between junctions 15 and 16 and about 22:30. The man was the driver of one of the vehicles.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at University College Hospital Galway.
