Ten Teenagers Arrested Over Robberies And Assaults

Gardaí investigating a number of robberies and assaults in Dublin have arrested ten teenagers, aged 14 to 19.

A series of raids were carried out in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Dublin and Louth by officers investigating robberies and assaults carried out in the Dublin area over the summer.

It is understood that the arrested teenagers can be held for 24 hours.

Two men have been arrested in connection with separate robberies in Tallaght. Two robberies were carried out in the South Dublin town on Tuesday afternoon, one at a post office in Glenview at about 16:15 and another at a shop on Old Bawn Way at about 16:40.

Five males aged between 14 and 19-years-old have been arrested by gardaí from Mountjoy, Finglas & Blanchardstown Garda stations investigating a number of robberies in the West Dublin area on 9 January. The five males were detained at Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations yesterday.

Three Arrested Over Knife-Point Hold-Ups
Three people have been arrested in connection with a spate of knife-point robberies in Dublin. Two women and a man were detained by garda during a planned operation in Blanchardstown, west Dublin. The three are being questioned about robberies in three shops in the area over the past two weeks, in which shopkeepers were threatened with knives.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Armed Men Arrested Over Two Post Office Robberies
Gardaí in Co Kilkenny are appealing for information on two separate armed robberies of post offices on Monday. In the first incident three men, one armed with a sawn-off shotgun, entered a post office in Clogherhead at about 11:45.
