Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash Near Ballyshannon
Garda in Co Donegal have reported the death of a woman in a single vehicle road crash in Cloghore, near Ballyshannon.
It is understood that the woman, aged in her 70s, was travelling alone when her car hit a ditch at about 22:20 on Thursday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí have asked for witnesses to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071-9858530, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800-666-111 or any garda station.

Man Killed In Suspected Hit-And-Run In Co Fermanagh
A man has been arrested in connection with a suspect hit-and-run in Co Fermanagh. Patrick McCaffrey was killed on the Tullychurry Road at around 3am on Sunday. The man arrested has been taken to Ballyshannon Garda Station for questioning after he was detained by officers in Co Donegal.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

She was arrested on Thursday in Ballyshannon and was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Ballyshannon Garda Station.

Gardaí have arrested a 64-year-old man in connection with the disappearance of Mary Boyle more than 37 years ago. The six-year-old girl went missing from her grandparents house in Cashelard, Ballyshannon, on 18 March 1977. It is understood that she had followed her uncle across a field near the house before turning to walk back to the house.
