Man Arrested Over Cannabis, Cocaine And Ecstasy Seizure
A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a drug seizure made during a planned serach operation at a premises in Newbridge, Co Kildare.
Gardaí from the Kildare District Drugs Unit uncovered cannabis herb, plants and resin, cocaine and ecstasy tablets with a combined estimated street value of €75,000.
The man is being held at Newbridge Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Two Held Following Drug Seizure
Two men are being held following the discovery of cannabis and amphetamines worth an estimated €140,000. Some €20,000 worth of cannabis and €120,000 of amphetamines were uncovered when a car was stopped and searched in Waterford. Gardaí say the search was part of an ongoing operation.

Two Arrested Over Finglas Drug Seizure
Gardaí have seized drugs worth an estimated €63,000 during a search in Finglas on Monday morning. Gardaí seized cannabis herb, cocaine and cash during the raid on a house in Berryfield Drive. A man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, were arrested at the scene. Gardaí say that a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Man Arrested In Kildare Drug Seizure
As part of an ongoing investigation Gardaí in Kildare have arrested a man and seized a quantity drugs following an operation in Athy. Around 7pm a man in his 20s was arrested and Herbal Cannabis with an estimated street value of €96,000 was seized when a motor van was stopped during a Garda operation at Cardington.

New Powers Allow For Roadside Drug Testing
The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross has announced the commencement of the drug driving provisions in the Road Traffic Act 2016. One of the key measures in the legislation provides for Preliminary Drug Testing, which will enable Gardaí to test motorists whom they suspect of driving under the influence of drugs at the roadside.
