Carlow Distillery Expansion Could Create Over 50 Jobs

Some 55 new jobs could be created at a whiskey distillery in Carlow pending planning permission.

Walsh Whiskey Distillery is to build a new €25m craft distillery at Royal Oak in Carlow, with funding from Italian drinks company Saronno.

If granted planning permission, it is thought that the expansion could generate 55 new permanent and part-time jobs over the next few years, alongside some 40 jobs created during the construction phase of the new distillery.
