Jameson Whiskey Producer Opens €100m Extension

Irish Distillers distillery in Midleton, producers of Jamesons whiskey, have officially opened their €100m extension.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially opened the facility, which has created 60 new jobs and will allow the distiller to double its production.

It is understood the extension was undertaken as the original distillery had been operating at full capacity to try and keep up with international demand for their products.

Irish Woman To Be Charged Over Terrorist Offence
An Irish citizen arrested on suspicion of terrorist offences has been charged to appear in court. The 38 year-old will appear before a sitting of the District Court, Criminal Courts of Justice today, Wednesday 04 December. It comes after her arrest at Dublin Airport on Sunday following her deportation from Turkey.

The Mi (Mergon Innovation) Centre is the amalgamation of Mergon's expertise in advanced manufacturing, robotics, automation and failsafe technologies, all now under one roof.
