Two Arrested Over Death Of James Cahillane

Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of James Cahillane last year.

Mr Cahillane's body was discovered after a fire at his house in Beaufort, Co Kerry, in April 2012.

A man and a woman were arrested this morning and are being detained at Tralee and Killarney garda stations.

Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information on the fifth anniversary of the murder of James Cahillane. Mr Cahillane was found dead following a fire at his home at Ardraw, Beaufort, Killarney in Co Kenny on 19 April, 2012.

Man Arrested For Second Time In 2012 Murder Investigation
Gardaí investigating the murder of man in Co Kerry in 2012 have arrested a 29-year-old man in Killorglin. The body of 58-year-old James Cahillane was found by fiefighters at his home near Beaufort in April 2012. Detectives initially thought that Mr Cahillane died in an accidental fire.

Man Arrested Following Death Of A Man In Phoenix Park
A second man has been arrested in Dublin in connection with the murder of a man in the Phoenix Park on Friday. The man is currently being held at Finglas Garda Station. The victim is believed to have been attacked and set alight in a sleeping bag.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.
