Two men Die In Separate Drowning Accidents
Two men died in separate drowning incidents on Monday.
A 55-year-old Polish national, who had been living in Ireland for a number of years, died after being hit by a freak wave on a fishing trip with friends.
The man, who was married and had been living in Co Kildare, drowned when he fell off rocks into the sea at Mullaghmore Head, Co Sligo.
And in a separate incident a body was taken from the sea at Westport, Co Mayo.
It was that of a Scottish man who had been visiting the area for the St Patrick's weekend.
The man was identified later as Michael Reilly (54) from Ardrossan, North Ayrshire.
Mr Reilly, who had been travelling alone, was booked into a local B&B.
He was identified from documents he had been carrying. The body was taken to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar for a post-mortem exam.

A 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man have died in separate drowning incidents in Co Cork over the weekend. A 17-year-old got into difficulties while swimming in the River Blackwater in north Cork, at an area known as Lisheen Bridge. He was taken to Kerry General hospital by air ambulance but died in the early hours of Monday morning.

Gardai are investigating two separate drownings in which a man and woman died. The body of a man was found on Lahinch beach in Co. Clare on Monday night. It is believed that the body is that of a 19-year-old man from Clontarf in Co.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Body Of Man Discovered In Dublin
A man's body has been discovered in Dublin. The body of the man, believed to be in his 30s, has not yet been formally identified, according to garda. The discovery was made between O'Connell Bridge and College Green at about 7.20am on Sunday. A post-mortem is expected to be carried out. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Over €300,000 Illegally Imported Cigarettes Seized
More than €300,000 of illegally imported cigarettes have been seized by Customs officers at Dublin Airport. It is estimated 700,000 cigarettes have been seized by Revenue's Customs Service officers in three separate incidents this week. A Romanian national, who was arrested, has since been released. A file is being prepared by the DPP.
