Gardai Investigate Fatal Shooting

A man has been shot dead in Dublin in a suspected gangland attack.

The gun attack occurred in at Marrsfield Avenue in Clongriffin, North Dublin at 1.15pm this afternoon.

The victim was aged in his 30s and his body remains at the scene.

Gardai who are now appealing for witnesses said a number of shots were fired.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, Gardai in Cork are treating the discovery of a body as suspicious.

The Irish man who was aged in his 30s was found in a terraced house in Masseytown, not far from Macroom town centre.

Gardaí have cordoned off the scene and technical experts have started an examination.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Man's Body Discovered In Dublin
A man's body has been discovered in Dublin at around 9am this morning. The body, which was found by staff unloading a rubbish truck, was located at a waste recycling facility on the Greenhills Road in Tallaght. The body remains at the scene which has currently been sealed off.

Dublin Teenager Found 'Safe And Well'
A teenager who went missing from Dublin has been found "safe and well". Sean Costello, 15, went missing from Ballymun just after midnight on Sunday, 31 July. Gardai launched an appeal as they were concerned for his welfare. However, they have confirmed he has been found "safe and well". Gardai also thanked the public for their assistance.

Pensioner Dies In House Fire
A man, 74, has died in a house fire in Rathcormac, County Cork. It is unclear how the fire began, however gardai say they are not treating it as suspicious. Fire crews arrived at the scene after they were alerted at approximately 7.45pm on Sunday evening.
