Suspect Devices Discovered in Kildare

An investigation is underway following the discovery of three suspect devices near a bus stop in County Kildare.

The devices were found by Gardaí in Ballinakill, Carbury on Sunday during a planned search of the area.

An army EOD team was deployed after the area was sealed off .

The suspicious objects, which were determined to be crude but viable were made safe at the scene and removed for further examination.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information.

An investigation has been launched into the discovery of two explosive devices in County Kildare on Tuesday 14 March. Gardaí called for Army Bomb Disposal experts following the discovery of two suspicious devices in Carbury at around 6.30pm.

The bomb disposal unit was initially called to a suspect explosive device at Lower Leeson Street in Dublin on Monday night. The device, which gardaí described as viable, was found at around 10.
