Man, 22, Left With Serious Facial Injuries After Assault

A 22-year-old man is in hospital with serious facial injuries after an assault in Dublin.

Gardaí at Kevin Street, Dublin revealed this morning they are investigating the serious assault, which occurred at Lennox Street, Dublin 8 at approximately 4.55am on Sunday.

A Gardaí spokesman said they are anxious to trace three men who may be in a position to help them with their enquiries.

The first man is described as being in his early 20’s, 5’ 8” in height with dark facial hair; he was wearing a red check shirt, dark jeans and spoke with a Dublin accent. The second man was also described as being in his early 20’s and was wearing a pale blue shirt, dark jeans and also spoke with a Dublin accent.

The third man is only described as wearing dark jeans at the time of the assault.

The three men left the scene in the direction of Stamer Street and onto the South Circular Road in the direction of Harrington Street.

Officers have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who have information to contact the Gardaí at Kevin Street 01-666 9400, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111or any Garda Station.

Woman And Child Hit By Car While Walking On Dublin Street
A woman has been killed after being hit by a car as she pushed a pram along a Dublin street. Gardaí have reported that the woman in her 30s was killed and a child injured when they were hit by a car on the main Dublin Road into Balbriggan. Man Charged Over Serious Assault
A man in his 20s is expected to appear in court, charged in connection with a serious assault that happened at Dorset Street, Dublin. On Sunday morning, at around 1.45am, Gardaí were called to the scene at an apartment at Kelly's Row. A man, aged in his 30s, was suffered serious injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
