Beechview Kennel Runs was the first business of its kind here in Northern Ireland and has been producing Hot Dipped galvanised pet housing for nearly 20 years. Proprietor and founder Brian Lyons runs the business from home, 8 miles outside Ballymoney in Co. Antrim. He has a great personal interest in the Dog Run business as he and his partner Joan own over 20 dogs themselves ranging from newfoundlands right down to pomeranians. It was this love of dogs and their safe keeping which indeed inspired Brian to start this established business. Beechview Kennel Runs is very much a family run business with sons-in-law Scottie & Martin in employment.
Our products are tailor made to any size or shape and are easily erected, added to or indeed taken down. The panels are all hot dipped galvanised so both the dog cages and kennel runs are a life time job. We supply all sorts of panels from an outdoor puppy pen, multiple runs and car dog cages.

Welcome to Birch Bark Boarding Kennels
We are a high-class, professional boarding kennel and doggy day care service that gives you peace of mind, whilst you go on holiday or have a fun day out. Your beloved pet will be looked after to the highest standard of care. Dogs, cats, birds and indeed other small caged animals are welcome and family members will be allowed to remain together as requested by you.
We will ensure your pet stays in a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment and is provided with an excellent service that is delivered by caring, dedicated, experienced staff on a 24 hour basis. Security and surveillance are also provided 24 hours a day.
Birch Bark is located in a peaceful, rural, idyllic setting in the heart of the Orchard County. It is within walking distance of Peatlands Park and Derryadd Lake. The business is owned and run by Diane Turkington who has a lifetime of experience in keeping dogs.

Give your dog that extra special treat and include our Peatland Park or Derryadd Lake Walk in your package. The walks are through very beautiful, unspoilt, countryside.

We can arrange to have your pet bathed and groomed before its departure for home.
Collection Service
If you are pushed for time preparing for your holiday, we can help by collecting your pet and taking him/her to Birch Bark for you. We can also return your pet at your request.
At Home Services
Dog Walking – when you are at work a member of the Birch Bark team can take your dog out for a walk. The walk can be in the area of your choice. If you wish, your dog can be fed, brushed and any mess lifted.
Our Kennels
We provide 24/7 personal care and attention.
The kennels are under floor heated with their own external runs.
A daily exercise regime is in place to relieve boredom. Your pet will also be given access to our large exercise areas’ where they will have quality play-time off the lead whilst supervised.
We also have a collection of doggy board games to provide psychological entertainment.
Our customers’ instructions regarding feeding and exercise routines will be adhered to. Please feel free to bring your pets own bedding and toys which will help make them feel more comfortable during their stay. Background music is played to create a relaxing homely atmosphere for your pet.

Need a dog run, then you've come to the right place!
We manufacture dog runs, dog pens and dog cages near Belfast and deliver throughout Northern Ireland. We always have them in stock so you won't have to wait.
Choose from one of our dog run packs or design your own using our standard dog run panels. Our dog runs, pens and cages are galvanised and come with a lifetime rust protection guarantee.
Dog run panels and gates
Our standard dog run panels and gates have been cleverly designed to fit together in any combination. They are easily joined using two bolts (included) without the need for specialist tools or skills. They can be used to build everything from a small dog pen or cage to a large run with multiple divisions and everything in between!
Dog run packs
Choose a dog pen from the sizes shown below and we will deliver a pack containing everything you need. You can easily assemble your dog run or cage in around 30 minutes with no need for special tools or skills. If none of these sizes suit, remember you can create your own dog pen using our standard panels.
How we make them
We build all our dog pen panels and gates using top quality steel to standard EN 10219-1. After manufacture they are hot dip galvanised to standard EN ISO 1461 giving a minimum of 40 years rust protection. Simply put, our dog runs, pens and cages last a lifetime!

Full Groom
This is our most extensive service which includes a warm water bath using a specific deep cleansing shampoo to suit your dog's skin type, followed by a luxurious conditioner. For nervous/anxious dogs, aromatherapy treatments maybe required.

Bath and De-shedding
This is a specific treatment that is recommended for dogs that shed hair, primarily with the change of seasons. The tools used can remove your dogs constant shedding by up to 80%. All the dry, dead hair is removed making them look and feel a lot healthier and happier.

Dematting
Some coat types get matted and tangled easier than others. Fine-coated breeds such as Schauzers Poodles and Bichons and many Drop Coated breeds like Lhasa Apso's, Shih Tzu's and Maltese's get quite serious problems with their fur. A regular grooming session of 6-8 weeks is strongly recommended as well as regular brushing daily by the owners. There is an additional charge for difficult dematting (to be determined by the groomer).
Hand Stripping
Priced accordingly due to size and condition of the dog.
This is suitable for most terrier breeds and gundogs. This is a service that uses a specific stripping tool to remove the dogs dead coat to leave them looking immaculate but still completely natural.
Unlike clipping, stripping does not alter the texture or colour of the coat.
Breeds that can benefit from this groom are;

• Westies
• German Long Haired Pointers
• Airedales
• Most wire and long coated dogs.
Flea & Tick Treatments
Dogs can be infested by these nasty parasites sometimes unknowns to the owners. One flea can lay 20 eggs, multiplying within days. Flea "dirt" looks like bits of black pepper or dirt on your pet's skin and in the hair coat (see below). It is actually the flea feces, composed mainly of the blood meal ingested by the flea from your pet. The blood is dried out, giving it a black, crackly appearance and texture. Immediate eradication is needed utilising the best flea treatment shampoos and aerosols (kills live fleas and ticks instantly).

We offer a comprehensive range of pet supplies, foods, and treats. Other dog products available are; dog beds, galvanised dog runs; supplied, delivered and fitted, shampoos, worming tablets, puppy training pads, leads, collars, small animal cages, dog carriers and wooden kennels – which can be delivered – are also available.
A variety of hen foods, pigeon food, wild bird food, caged bird food, hamster and rabbit foods are also available both loose weighed and bagged. All types of fish tanks available as well as fish foods such as King British and Tetra. Our wild bird food bags are 25kg (not 20kg which major retailers offer) which means you get better value for money from us. We have hen drinkers, feeders and wide range of poultry foods – including Fancy Feeds – a 'GM free' hen food. Wooden Hen arcs are also available – which can be delivered.
We have a fully qualified groomer in store. Our grooming salon offers very competitive prices. Just some of the services available are; Washes from £10 - includes 2 warm wet washes, conditioning treatment, blow dry, ear cleansing and trimming, nail clipping and deodorizing dog coat spray finish.
Full grooms are from £15 for small breeds, £25 medium breeds and £40 for large breeds. A full groom includes; 2 warm wet washes, conditioning treatment, blow dry, total removal of mats from coat, hair clip and style, sanitary trim, ear cleansing and trimming, nail clipping and deodorising dog coat spray finish.
We operate a loyalty scheme - after 4 full grooms your pooch will be entitled to a free wash, conditioning treatment, blow dry, ear cleanse and trim, nail clip and deodorizing dog coat spray finish. It is important to note that prices are only an indication and may vary if the dog is bigger than is normal for the breed or if the coat is in poor condition.
We stock Horse Feeds such as Blue grass and Baileys, Allbed shavings, EH Haylage, brushes and other horse accessories.
