MICO ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. We are electrical and industrial contractors, we currently work with all, commercial and industrial electrical services, we specialise in heat trace systems and also have recently undertaken several contracts in the Bio gas field all over the UK. We have several on-going electrical installations on Bio gas sites. We have built up a good reputation with quality of work and an understanding of the client’s needs.

Biogas Installations
Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is a natural biological process where organic material is broken down by bacteria. It is similar to composting but differs in that it takes place in the absence of oxygen. The process occurs naturally in swamps and bogs and also takes place in landfill sites.

AD is a 4-stage process: hydrolysis, acidification, acetogenesis & methanogenesis. These are long words which describe why cows have four stomach compartments.

Heat Trace
Mico install all Electric trace heating, also known as electric heat tracing, heat tape or surface heating, is a system used to maintain or raise the temperature of pipes and vessels. Trace heating takes the form of an electrical heating element run in physical contact along the length of a pipe. The pipe must then be covered with thermal insulation to retain heat losses from the pipe. Heat generated by the element then maintains the temperature of the pipe.

We are working with world leading firms such as Veolia Water and CDE Environment covering all electrical installations from site lighting to heat trace systems, for UK firms such Ovivo Water and Agrikomp Bio gas UK installing heat trace systems and Electrical systems. Our latest projects are the full electrical Installations of anaerobic digester's that convert methane gas to electric.
